The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) is the international free trade agreement between the European Union and Canada. It was signed on October 30, 2016, and entered into force provisionally on September 21, 2017.

Equally important, it allows Canadian and European companies to participate in public procurement, services and investment of the other partner and lastly strengthen cooperation between Canada and the EU in terms of standardization and regulation.
